Durrant vs Whitlock was seen as a really close affair on the face of it but the two time reigning Lakeside Champion showed class to deliver a thumping 5-1 win.
It was a 99 average for ‘Duzza’ who showed that he is potentially a dark horse this week.
This leaves Whitlock a hell of a lot to do now due to leg difference as well and for Durrant it could be important in already cementing his place in the next round.
Suljovic similarly was dominant in a typical performance from the Gentle.
The highlight was a 103 checkout from the Champions League winner as he saw off Scott Mitchell.
Like the previous tie it was one a lot saw being a lot closer but Scotty Dog could not produce the goods to live with the Austrian.
