The second Women’s World Championship qualifier is taking place today in Milton Keynes but Barry Hearn is not happy about players missing it.
He asked the question on Twitter about why ten out of the twenty five top darts players in the ladies game have not entered. Hearn then went on to speak of the vast prize money on offer for those who do qualify.
For one or two players it is known why they are not in Milton Keynes. Trina Gulliver MBE in particular is over in Italy, playing in her sponsors tournament so wasn’t able to take part.
Ofher names missing out from the ten include Paula Jacklin, the wife of BDO Chairman Des Jacklin and Tori Kewish from Australia.
