Van Gerwen in confident mood after win over Burton in Minehead: ‘I feel confident and I think my form is strong’

Michael van Gerwen saw off Keegan Brown and Stephen Burton respectively on Saturday as he stakes his claim for another title in Minehead.

Van Gerwen spoke afterwards and admitted that he is confident and that is form is strong. Despite staking his claim for the title though, he knows that it isn’t all done and that he will have to focus on every game. "I can't complain with my form so far, my scoring power is there and I played well," said Van Gerwen. The Dutchman will face Steve Lennon in the quarter-finals at the Players Championship Finals, where he bids for a fifth title. "I feel confident and I think my form is strong, and I hope I can continue this. I want to win this title again but I have to make sure I focus on each game." for more information about the Players Championship Finals.
