Luke Humphries is through to the 2020 PDC World Championship Quarter-Finals but by his own admission didn't have much coming back at him against Kim Huybrechts.

Humphries in particular smashed in a 146 checkout when Huybrechts declined a shot at the bull off an 81 checkout and this was the real turning point for the Newbury ace as he streaked to the win from there.
Like alluded to he admitted himself that more should have been coming back at him but that he believes if he can find that first dart, he can be lethal.
"I don't think I played as well as I did in the last two games, I don't think my scoring was very good in the second half of the game. I'm surprised at my stats, the thing for me was the 146, it was a game changer and Kim will be kicking himself for declining the bull. If he wouldn't have declined it he could have been sitting here so he shouldn't ever have done it," said Humphries to LiveDarts in the aftermath of his victory.
"To turn down a simple finish like 81 is silly. Eric Bristow did it and lost a World title to Keith Deller."
"If someone is hitting big scores against you, you've got to hit them back but when someone is not hitting big scores against you, you try to hard then. That was the hard part, I expected a harder game from Kim, I thought he was going to be really up for it. 4-1 is probably the right result and a fair reflection on how the game went."
"I think I've been more solid this year. After the first game, I had a 91-92 average so I know I'll have to up it in the next round against Jeffrey or Peter but like I said, if I can find that first dart I can get to the final."
