Leighton Bennett delighted with experience after "Power at the Tower" exhibition against Phil Taylor

Leighton Bennett had a unique experience on Tuesday night. Nobody else can say that they've played the 16-time world champion at the Tower of London.

The 13-year-old can, though. Bennett averaged 93 and hit two ton-plus checkouts in succession en route to a in the 'Power at the Tower' exhibition. Speaking to sponsors Nevada Sport after the event, the BDO world youth champion expressed his delight at being part of a special night. "[The Tower of London] is an amazing venue. I just loved every minute. I don't really want to go now! "To be fair, I've never been this happy before when losing," Bennett said. "Playing Phil Taylor - it's just awesome, really. I'm speechless after playing that game. "Just to take seven legs against the 16-time world champion is just brilliant. It could have been even more than that. From 4-1 down, Bennett piled the pressure on the Power, and narrowly missed the chance to go 6-4 up before Taylor took control of the match. The darting icon was keen to offer his young opponent plenty of advice before and after the game, something Bennett will take to heart. "I'm going try and do what Phil told me now, and just keep practicing, keep doing what I'm doing," the youngster added. "Whatever I'm doing is right, he said. I'll keep doing the JDC tours - when I'm 16, I want to enter the PDC straight away. "I just really want to play in the PDC now. But it comes in time, doesn't it."
