The European Tour has become a massive part of the PDC calendar and this sees the tournaments' future secured until at least 2023. As well as retaining other European based tournaments such as European Championship, World Cup of Darts and World Series of Darts Finals and in an interview with the PDC, Matt Porter called the news fantastic. "The growth of professional darts across Europe has been one of the biggest success stories of the past decade and it's fantastic to extend our partnership with Langenbahn von Moltke," said the PDC Chief Executive. "Whilst streamed European Tour events and other TV tournaments in Europe have been hugely successful and attract huge crowds, we are also seeing the hard work on a playing side bear fruit now. "The recent European Qualifying School showed the strength in depth of players across Europe now, and the European Tour has been a key factor in enabling ambitious players from across the continent to gain experience as a first step onto the PDC circuit. "The next five years will see us expand further across Europe and it's an exciting time for everyone involved in PDC Europe."
