PDC European Darts Matchplay schedule: Saturday, evening session

The top seeds start their PDC European Darts Matchplay campaigns in the Saturday evening session.

Steve Beaton, twice a Players Championship semi-finalist in the past week, plays the first of the eight ties. His opponent is Andy Boulton, who saw off Cristo Reyes in round one. Then comes one of the ties of the round. Players Championship 16 winner Ian White clashes with German favourite Max Hopp. Mensur Suljovic's quest to add the European Darts Matchplay to his PDC European Tour haul alongside the Danish Darts Open title begins against an in-form opponent. Boris Koltsov averaged 97 in a first round win over Robert Owen and should be considered a threat.
Michael van Gerwen, the perpetual favourite when in the field, starts against Ryan Joyce in Hamburg. Then the third and final German in the second round draw, Robert Marijanovic, plays Daryl Gurney. Rob Cross faces a tough opponent in the form of William O'Connor, then Stephen Bunting takes on Darius Labanauskas. In what should be an excellent tie to round off the evening, Michael Smith plays Jelle Klaasen.
Beaton and Boulton will start off the evening session at 6.15pm, and all eight ties will be live on PDC TV.
