Smith becomes eighth winner on World Series with Shanghai Darts Masters win

Michael Smith claimed his first World Series title on Saturday seeing off Rob Cross in the final and in the process of winning the Shanghai Darts Masters, he becomes the eighth different winner.
Van Gerwen and Taylor unsurprisingly dominate the list with eleven and eight titles respectively. MVG also holds the most finals and runner ups on the World Series showing the dominance of the World Number One. Anderson is next with six titles and the other winners barring that gave one each to their name (Lewis, Suljovic, Kyle Anderson and Smith). The most runners up without claiming a win is Raymond van Barneveld with three to his name in the three finals he has been in.
