Michael Smith is through to round three at the PDC World Darts Championship and will take on either John Henderson or Gabriel Clemens.

Smith was under par at times but didn’t need to be at his best to see off the Bomb and moves through having only dropped one set. The first set began with no dominance from either player but Smith claimed it with a second 180 and double ten in the deciding leg with 75% on the doubles at that point. He started to dominate a bit more in the next set sealing the second set three-one and this included a 132 checkout on the bull. The Bomb though didn’t give up there with missed doubles from Smith to break allowing Meulenkamp to halve the deficit. Meulenkamp took out 100 to lead the next set but from there Smith streaked to the win despite not looking at his best. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
