Stats Analysis on biggest upsets in 2017 PDC Season

New PDC stat analyst Christopher Kempf a.k.a Ochepedia recently did some analysis on the biggest upsets in this years PDC season.
Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen unsurprisingly due to their ranking and prowess reached 25 finals between them on TV this year.
At least one of those three players reached the final in every event in which all of them participated in which is remarkable.
When they did go out it was in massive shocks to players ranked 32, 104 and N/A (Rileys Qualifier who plays BDO) who rose to the occasion and smashed through these players with John Henderson, Steve Hine and Paul Hogan the men to do so with all 3 being experienced though in some way.
The throw for the bull has been crucial as was found out by Kempf, when Van Gerwen lost to Henderson at the World Grand Prix. Henderson got the bull and this enabled the Highlander the advantage from the outset against a very out of sorts Van Gerwen and if MVG would of got the bull it may have been a different story.
Even the best in the World can have a lapse of concentration with Wright in his game with Hine suffering this but the Muffin Man's relentless style allowed him to get an unassailable lead and not give Wright any breathing room.
Paul Hogan had a bit of luck in his victory with such problems as Anderson hitting a Robin Hood and also missing the bullseye multiple times that could of helped the Flying Scotsman but it shows that if you can pressure your opponent and have a bit of luck along the way, the world's best can get beaten.
