Mensur Suljovic has claimed his second title of the year and a fifth overall ranking title as he is the inaugural winner of the Danish Darts Open in Copenhagen.
Suljovic smashed Simon Whitlock in the final 8-3 as the rise of the Gentle continues. He has added to triumphs in Riesa, Gelsenkirchen, Cardiff & Ireland with this Danish Darts Open crown denying Whitlock a first title in some time.
He hit a top checkout of 114 on the way to the title in front of his family including his wife who was there to see Mensur triumph.
Also an average of 99.91 with 57% on his doubles meant that he was too good for Whitlock who despite the score did perform well but his doubles let him down.
