Number one seed Michael van Gerwen is through to the last sixteen at Players Championhip 4. The 29-year-old defeated Vincent van der Voort, who was his best man at his wedding in 2014, 6-1 to set up a clash with Nathan Aspinall.

Glen Durrant nearly hit his first nine-dart finish as a PDC player. 'Duzza' produced eight perfect darts against Joe Cullen, but missed double 12 to close out the match in style, as he hit a 10-dart leg to beat 'The Rockstar'.
Dimitri van den Bergh overcame James Wade 6-4, while Adrian Lewis came through a leg-decider against Jonathan Worsley. Kyle Anderson averaged 111 to beat Luke Woodhouse 6-0.
