Van Barneveld lauds praise on World Cup of Darts partner Van Gerwen: “He makes it look so easy”

Raymond van Barneveld and Michael van Gerwen seem to be on course for potentially another World Cup of Darts crown. They dispatched South Africa easily last night but for the legend he admits they still have to focus.
Van Barneveld also lauded praise onto his World Cup of Darts teammate admitting if he he could pick anyone to team up with it would be Van Gerwen as he makes it look so easy. He looked forward to today’s clash in Germany and admits it will be very different but the remit stays the same and that’s to get the job done. “It was comfortable for us today but you always have to make sure you focus,” said Van Barneveld. “If I could pick any dart player in the world to team up with it would be Michael, he makes it look so easy. “Tomorrow will be a very different game against Germany in front of their crowd but we smashed them in the Pairs last year but hopefully tomorrow we will get the job done before that.” For more information on the World Cup of Darts click .

If it is going to be done to English players, then we are more than entitled to dish the same back when players face off in England. - I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
