Three 180s, an 89.5 average and 62.5% on the doubles including a 180 from Van Barneveld to set up a 64 finish in the final leg gave him the win.
’Barney’ in defeating McGrath saw off the final qualifier in the tournament and vindicated his selection as a
PDC representative for this tournament.
Now he knows that he has a serious chance to potentially win the tournament with Whitlock awaiting him tomorrow.
