Van Gerwen hits four of top ten averages in German Darts Championship win

Michael van Gerwen was dominant in claiming the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim but despite that he didn’t claim the highest average.
That went to Dave Chisnall who smashed the European Tour record with an effort of 118.66. This will be something Van Gerwen will want to put right due to his want for all titles and records.
Furthermore though, Van Gerwen did blow away most of the other competition with his averages. This was seen with him hitting 4 out of the top ten.
Only Mensur Suljovic (x2), Rob Cross (x2) and Ron Meulenkamp actually registered top ten averages with Mighty Mike otherwise dominant.
