Michael van Gerwen starts the defence of his world title tonight and is after a 3rd win at the Alexandra Palace where like last year, the World Number 1 has lots of pressure on himself to succeed. In last years' final where he faced the defending champion at the time, Gary Anderson. There were 42 x180's and two 100+ averages as Mighty Mike and The Flying Scotsman really brought it together when it really mattered.
