Wade moves up to 4th on Euro Tour Order of Merit after run to final in Sindelfingen

James Wade had a run to the final in Sindelfingen losing out to Michael van Gerwen in his second final of the season after 18 months or so in the darting doldrums.
This form is now reflected in the Euro Tour Order of Merit where he is up to 4th. This has assured his qualification for the European Championship even if he missed out on the rest of the events.
Jamie Lewis and Paul Nicholson have also moved into the provisional qualification spots after 5 out of 13 events; joining the likes of Wade but their positions aren't as secure due to their place in the rankings.
In terms of the big names currently outside the qualification spots, they include Stephen Bunting, Cristo Reyes, Adrian Lewis & Kyle Anderson.

- This coming from the lowest ranked player in it who was only selected by his paranoia for attention from the crowd by having to conduct the crowd to his walk on music. I know a lot of darts fans who cannot stand Arsepinall, oddly I know people who don't like darts but frequently attend events for the atmosphere and have no idea who was playing. - Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. Indicates to me that the prize money is skewed to much towards the top players, meritocracy must rule but a fair distribution of the money is needed otherwise its only ever about a select few.Mysstree09-01-2025

- It is shocking and unbelievable that 2 Hotty who was always such a decent player, 2 time World Champion and won the Grand Slam when it meant something. He really should have joined the PDC earlier. He has just disappeared off the radar. Such a shame when one of your favourite players just dissappears. I guess he is concentrating on the carpentry. I made a sign at Lakeside which must have been the biggest ever. It said we're potty for 2 Hotty, each word was on its own flip chart sheet of paper and gaffer taped together.
