The WDF is saddened to hear of the passing of Martin Adams' partner Leigh. Our thoughts and condolences are with Martin and his family at this difficult time.
A heavy blow for darts legend Martin Adams. It was announced Wednesday that his partner Leigh had died. It is not known if she was ill.
Adams, winner of three Lakeside titles, was married to his former wife Sharon for 34 years. That relationship broke down in 2013. Leigh was then his new life partner.

It is a remarkable coincidence that not only his partner Leigh died on Aug. 9. However, this date is also the death anniversary of darter Phill Nixon, who passed away in 2013.
Nixon faced Adams in 2007 in one of the most remarkable finals in Lakeside history. 'Wolfie' was leading 6-0 in sets in this final, but Nixon fought back to 6-6 in sets. Then the 7-6 victory still went to Adams, who then captured his first BDO world title.
