The last two events of the PDC Development Tour season will be played on Sunday. There is some nice rewards for the best players on the ranking.
Following Sunday's Event Ten, the top two players from the final Development Tour Order of Merit will win a two-year PDC Tour Card and a place in the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship. The top two spots are currently occupied by Ryan Meikle and Keane Barry.
However Meikle already has a Tour Card, which would mean that one will move to the third spot. Berry van Peer is currently the nummer three on the PDC Development Tour Order of Merit, but the likes of Ted Evetts, Damian Mol and Kevin Doets are close behind him.
The top eight of the ranking will receive an invite for the 2021 UK Open, while the top 96 are allowed to participate in the PDC World Youth Championship on Monday September 28.
The Development Tour is the PDC's youth circuit. This tour is open to players between the ages of 16 and 23, when they are not in the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit on January 2, 2020.
The likes of Berry van Peer, Martin Schindler, Niels Zonneveld, Keane Barry, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Ted Evetts and Geert Nentjes are allowed to play in these events. This does not apply to reigning world youth champion Luke Humphries, since the Englishman is now 25 years old.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
