Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price are set to face off for the first time since their controversial Grand Slam of Darts final which saw 'The Iceman' winning the title and receiving the largest fine given by the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) in their history.

Anderson spoke ahead of this tie and admitted given the form that Price has been as of late, he should win. He added though that he doesn't know what's going to happen on the night and also that he felt nervous on his return to the stage on Thursday night.
"On paper he should win with the way he's playing," Anderson admitted to LiveDarts after his 6-4 win over Elliot Milk.
"But if he gets beat by an old-timer who's not played for a while then he'll be getting a shock.
"I don't know what's going to happen. I'm playing some good darts and some absolute trash so I've just got to work through it.
"I scraped through my first game, it was the first time I've been on stage in a while and I was nervous, my mouth felt dry and I haven't felt like that for a long, long time."

Price on the rematch in Las Vegas

Price also weighed in ahead of their clash and said that he's just going to go up there and play like he usually does with any other player. He added that in his opinion; these are the games fans want to see and that it'll be a good game overall for the crowd.
"I'm just going to go up there, do my own thing and play my own game no matter what, like I always do," Price told LiveDarts.
"I'm not going to go up there to try and perform to Gary or to anyone else, I've never done that.
"These are the sort of games that people want to see, it's why people pay their money and it's what sport is all about.
"It'll be a good game for the crowd and everyone watching at home, and I'm sure there will be plenty of people tuning in!"
