Nathan Aspinall and
Rob Cross finalise the knockout spots from Wednesday's session at the
Grand Slam of Darts with the rest to be decided on Thursday night.
Aspinall saw off Ricky Evans in a 5-1 win with the Kettering ace made to pay for ten missed darts at double despite hitting six 180's to produce the scoring element of the tie.
While Cross is also through after seeing off Luke Humphries in a high quality encounter to end the session. He maintains a 100% record of reaching the knockout stage with victory in a winner takes all tie with Luke Humphries.
Humphries himself averaged 102.5 but fell 5-2 with 2/6 on the doubles compared to 41% (5/12) from 'Voltage' who denied the World Youth Champion.
