Aspinall going to root for fellow townsman during Euro 2020: 'It will be mint for England and Stockport'

Nathan Aspinall is a great ambassador for the English town of Stockport, but The Asp is not the only famous athlete from this town.

English international Phil Foden also comes from Stockport. Foden is a footballer for Manchester City and recently played in the lost Champions League final against Chelsea.

Aspinall hopes to meet his famous fellow townsman one day. “I’ve never had the pleasure to meet the guy, he’s been brought up in Stockport probably five minutes from where I was brought up. But seriously you can’t compare me to Phil. He is unreal and a chap from Stockport making something of himself. Fair play to the guy and I’m sure in the near future we will cross paths'', he told Oche180.

The two-time World Championship semi-finalist hopes that Foden will also shine at the Euro 2020 this month. “I can’t wait for the Euros, I missed it last year. Unfortunately the PDC have decided to put on a tournament the same week as the Euros start.''

''I can’t wait and Phil can win it for us. I hope he does, it will be mint for England and Stockport'', Aspinall said.
