At least five Englishman in World Matchplay quarter-finals for the first time since 2019

The World Matchplay is currently underway in Blackpool. Four different nationalities are still present in the quarter-finals.
England takes the crown with as many as five players in the quarter-finals, which is the most since 2019, when there were six Englishmen in the quarter-finals. In addition to the seeded Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall, Joe Cullen and Ryan Searle, this also includes the unseeded Chris Dobey.
In addition, we also have three countries with one representative each in the quarterfinals. For Wales it is Jonny Clayton, for Northern Ireland Daryl Gurney and finally for Australia Damon Heta.
