Martin Atkins is seemingly the player to catch in PDC Home Tour Group 16 after registering a double victory as the action reaches the halfway stage.

Atkins who going into tonight would have been a potential rank outsider with many is showing the unpredictability of the PDC Home Tour so far by seeing off both Ricky Evans and Jeff Smith in his opening few games.
The Wigan ace started off against Evans and averaged 90 but his doubling was superb hitting 5/9 and capitalising on 12 missed darts at double from his opponent and against Jeff Smith it was evenly matched and went all the way to the decider.
Despite Smith pressuring leaving 90, Atkins took out 54 last dart in hand to claim the tie. This came after brilliance from 'The Silencer' who saw off Christian Bunse 5-1 with a 10 darter on the bull to finish it off.
Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner.
All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.
All PDC Home Tour action will be broadcast live on PDCTV for free to all registered PDCTV users; regardless of whether you have a paid or free membership.
In addition all live-scores can be followed on DartConnect; with match statistics being available after every match.
