Beaton has no plans to retire anytime soon: "As long as I remain in the top 32 in the Order of Merit, I definitely want to continue"

Steve Beaton is a fans favourite in the PDC and is a player who is still towards the top of his game at the age of 56.

Beaton made his darting debut in 1984 when many players were not even born and for 'The Bronzed Adonis he is planning to continue for sometime to come and still has the buzz to compete at the highest level.

"Many players do not really know what I have done in the past. As long as I remain in the top 32 in the Order of Merit, I definitely want to continue. If that didn't work anymore, I might consider saying goodbye," said 'The Bronzed Adonis' in a recent interview with RTL7 Darts.

"My level is no longer as consistent as it used to be," Beaton continues. “But I know how to handle a match and I don't have many nerves. In recent weeks I have also noticed how much I miss the tournaments. Playing for several thousand supporters still gives me a kick after all these years, so I hope we can compete again as soon as possible.”
