Bellmont finally gets first win on Euro Tour: 'It's been a long road'

Stefan Bellmont secured his first PDC European Tour victory in the Belgian Darts Open on Friday. He beat Robert Owen 6-4 in the first round of the Belgian Darts Open.
It was the first win by a Swiss on Tour and Bellmont had suffered six defeats in the first round of a Euro Tour tournament in the past.
"I am really happy. It has been a long road and I now have my first win," the Swiss told the Belgian audience afterwards.
In Switzerland, Bellmont is number one. But this is not enough for him. In a two-year period, he wants to see more successes. "I train every day and look ahead. Maybe I'll be at the top then? We will see."
Bellmont faces Rob Cross in the second round. Asked about this, he kept it short. "I will do my best," he said.
