Brown raises more than £20,000 in NHS fundraising raffle

Keegan Brown’s NHS fundraising raffle earned more than £20,000, it has been revealed.

Brown himself works for the NHS. The Needle works as a laboratory assistant and he wanted to give back to those working on the ICU and Isolation Wards during the Coronavirus pandemic.

His raffle saw people send in donations for raffle tickets with as many available as they’d like. Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Simon Whitlock, Glen Durrant, Dimitri van den Bergh and Devon Petersen, among others, donated a match worn and/or signed shirt.

Sunday evening it turned out that the proceeds had exceeded twenty thousand pounds. Brown could not believe this amount, he said afterwards on Twitter.

“I genuinely cannot thank you all for the support and generosity you have all shown. Look at what you have all achieved, this is going to make such a difference! So proud.”
