Campbell breaks new ground with Cullen win as Noppert edges past Evetts in hard fought victory

The next three players through to the Last 16 at the Belgian Darts Open have been set with Matt Campbell, Damon Heta and Danny Noppert into Sunday in Wieze.

Campbell being the only non seed out of that line-up and he has broken new ground as only the second Canadian to reach the Last 16 of a European Tour behind the great John Part.

He saw off Joe Cullen 6-3 in a terrific win as he produced a 103.5 average and a high checkout of 167 with part of the game where he hit the aforementioned high checkout seeing him average 106.

While for Noppert, it was a hard fought win as he saw off Ted Evetts 6-4 with a 95.3 average and three 180's to seal his spot.

Before Damon Heta once again starred on the walk-on and took down Dutch debutant, Damian Mol.

Step aside Scott Mitchell and his invisible dog, the fourth seed came onto the stage with a lawnmower before taking down Mol 6-3.
