Matt Campbell had an eventful entry into the International Darts Open last weekend. 'The Ninja' struggled with an inconvenient setback leading up to the tournament.
He traveled from Canada to the playing venue in Riesa. The plane arrived in Germany, but his luggage did not. However, that did include his darts, so Campbell was in action in Riesa with his manager's darts.
"Considering I had no darts equipment and no darts apparel hence the plain black polo, due to my suitcase being left in Toronto by the airline. Extremely proud and pleased with myself how I performed was a tough game with Keegan Brown as he let me off the hook," he said on Facebook.
"But I took my chances when they arrived and then narrowly losing out to MVG missing 2 match darts. That’s darts for you. Nice week ahead travelling around Germany before heading to Munich on Friday for ET4."
