Caven on earning a living after losing PDC Tour Card: “It doesn’t mean to say that because you’re not at the high end of the game anymore that you can’t”

Jamie Caven lost his Tour Card in 2019 and since then has tried to regain it on a few occasions while also playing BDO events.

This route to Q-School did not occur this year due to Covid reasons but for 'Jabba', he is still as busy as ever talking to the Darts Museum podcast about how he has filled his time and earned money during both the pandemic and time away from the tour.

"I'm still busy on the exhibition scene obviously pre Covid and hopefully when it all goes off, we will be able to continue with that. That's the only thing. Obviously the income side of it has changed but I'm now a director of the PDPA, still run my own academy what I've been doing for seven or eight years. Pre Covid of course again and that's due to start back again soon," said Caven to the Darts Museum podcast.

"Still plenty going on. I'm doing some sort of training, some people they want some one to one training so I'm doing that. So it doesn't mean to say that just because you're not at the high end of the game anymore that you can't still earn a living from it because I'm still able to do so and while I can, I will continue to do that."
