Dave Chisnall is through to the third round of the PDC
World Darts Championship after seeing off Mike de Decker in his opening game of the tournament and it was one aspect of his game, he was disappointed in.
"I felt good up there when I first walked on, kicked off 180 but it was doubles. It's just not there. I could have won that set 3-0 that first one but I won it 3-2, oddly double five. I was just disappointed that I couldn't hit the doubles," said Chisnall post match.
A lot is always made of the first round players having the advantage but Chisnall doesn't see it that way.
"I don't think they've got an advantage, they might think it but I don't, I just think it's a new day. I can go on that stage and hit 110 average and the next day I can go and hit 78, I just think it's all on the night. If you play well, you win, if you don't you lose."
With rumours of the country potentially awaiting more restrictions, Chisnall admitted that he isn't bothered either way.
"We want the fans because that's the joy. Everybody loves the fans, I can play with or without, it doesn't matter. I'll acknowledge them a few times but I won't get involved with them. You've just got to do what you've got to do."
