Mervyn King will return after Christmas following a remarkable win over Ryan Joyce where he claimed nine legs on the spin which even he couldn't believe when it happened.
"Nine legs on the spin where did that come from. 2-0 down I still thought I can do this, even though it was against Ryan (Joyce) because I know how good he can be. He hasn't missed a thing in the first set but he's going to start missing now. I've been there and to carry that on is really hard," said King post match.
"When he starts missing, if I'm there or thereabouts nipping at his heels, I'm going to get a chance and if I take it then he's got problems. That's what happened."
Fans of 'The King' were out in force and he hopes they will be back when he plays again.
"Don't know what brought that on. When out there and waved to everyone and they started cheering over the left hand side and it worked it way across the hall. It'd be nice if they're back in the new year. It was a bit disconcerting because I'm used to the boo."
