The field has been confirmed ahead of the
International Darts Open which is due to take place between 25-27 February in Riesa.
Joe Cullen, Peter Wright, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton are among those to headline the seeded players concluded by Nathan Aspinall if he decides to make his return to action after injury.
The top 16 unlike further tournament is based off last season due to the final
European Tour getting cancelled and these players will enter in at the second round.
Kim Huybrechts, Dimitri van den Bergh, Rob Cross, Daryl Gurney, Mervyn King and Simon Whitlock are among the Tour Card Qualifiers.
Danny van Trijp won the third qualifying tournament for European players without a Tour Card last year. His spot has been moved to the new season. Brian Raman claimed the second spot and will make his European Tour debut.
Dennis Nilsson is the Nordic & Baltic Qualifier, while Janos Vegso won the East European Qualifier. Fabian Schmutzler, Niko Springer, David Schlichting, Dragutin Horva en Nico Kurz claimed the Host Nation Qualifier spots. There was one more place on offer as usual, after Ryan Joyce withdrew from the main event.
