Corey Cadby makes winning return with whitewash win on Day One of 2023 PDC European Q-School

It was unsure what version of Corey Cadby would turn up on Day One of 2023 PDC European Q-School but albeit at an early stage, there are good signs for the Aussie ace with a 5-0 win to begin his campaign defeating Gabriel Florin Olar.

In the Last 51`2, he averaged 84 putting a shaky first leg behind him to produce some quality darts en route.

This was shown in the last leg with 180, 140, 125 to look to seal an emphatic end but was left chasing round finally hitting double one for a 5-0 win.

Sealing a spot in the Final Stage is possible by reaching the last eight of one of the three tournaments. If that is not possible, players with enough victories during the first three days can still seal it through the Order of Merit with up to 128 players moving through.

This could be done by Cadby today but due to the numbers in the field, it will be a while yet before he next plays in Kalkar with the Last 512 heading towards its conclusion.
