Cross continues record of losing to eventual UK Open winner after Wade victory

Rob Cross continued a remarkable stat this past weekend in losing out to the eventual winner of the UK Open in James Wade.

Every year that Cross has played the tournament since his first appearance back in 2016 which saw his breakout, he has lost to the eventual winner.

This began back then with defeat to Michael van Gerwen back in 2016. This has been followed by Peter Wright, Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall and Michael van Gerwen.

Before then losing out to Wade this past weekend who defeated Luke Humphries in the final.
