Rob Cross is through to the World Matchplay Quarter-Finals after a brilliant 11-5 win over Krzysztof Ratajski which saw 'Voltage' come from two nil down to have an almost unassailable lead.

Ratajski came back towards the end but it was too much of a mountain to climb and Cross stormed through with a 98.5 average, four 180's and 58 percent on the doubles.
To start the tie, Ratajski was clinical smashing in a 160 checkout to double his lead in the early going. Despite that though at the interval, Cross was leading 3-2 with 75 percent on the doubles as he started to stamp his authority on the tie.
From there he went on a tear against 'The Polish Eagle' and by the second interval, Cross was 8-2 up despite not averaging highly and this included a brilliant 124 checkout which got him a 7-2 lead. Doubling wise, it was 7/11 for 'Voltage' which was making the difference.
He made it nine legs on the bounce as he claimed another break of throw as he was looking for a rout. Ratajski started to finally come back into proceedings pegging it back to 9-4 but Cross went one away giving him an even more up hill task.
This was the case in the end with Cross storming into the Quarter-Finals with an 11-5 victory and he will continue to be the favourite going into the latter half of the tournament.
