Cullen and Rodriguez first through to Quarter-Finals at Hungarian Darts Trophy

Joe Cullen and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez are the first players through to the Quarter-Finals at the Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest.

Cullen sealed it 6-3 against Jim Williams who dumped out Peter Wright yesterday but could not repeat the feat. A break came for 'The Rockstar' in the third leg with a 12 darter followed by another in the form of a 104 finish which proved clinical as he sealed a superb win.

While Rodriguez is through to his first PDC ranking Quarter-Final after edging past Madars Razma 6-4. He missed a handful of doubles in the fifth leg after which the Latvian sealed a break with an 80 checkout but he missed the same checkout to consolidate and Rodriguez broke back.

From there, he surged to victory with a superb 68 checkout followed by a roar of approval as he takes his place in tonight's session.
