Danny Noppert misses Players Championship Finals due to impending arrival of second child

Danny Noppert has opted out of the Players Championship Finals, scheduled for this weekend. He is not participating because his girlfriend Mandy will soon give birth to their second child.

In early February 2022, Noppert became a father for the first time. Then his partner gave birth to a baby son, who was named Jent. Shortly after that tournament, 'The Freeze' surprisingly won the UK Open, one of the majors on the calendar.

Noppert's spot at the Players Championship Finals will be taken by Dylan Slevin. The Irishman had finished 65th on the Players Championship Order of Merit and thus fell one spot outside the field of competitors. Slevin moves into Noppert's spot in the bracket and meets Matt Campbell in the first round.
