Jeffrey de Graaf has been living in Sweden for quite some time. Recently, he also competed competitively for that country.
For De Graaf, this change of nationality was a logical consequence. "I didn't really want it at first, but when you've lived here for so long it's hard to do otherwise. For the PDC I have been a Swede for at least five years now. I'm making the best of it, but still feel like a Dutchman," De Graaf told 433 Darts.
Dutchman Kevin Doets has also been living in Sweden for a while. "But through darts you are not going to get a personal number, after all it is not recognized as a sport here. Only if you work can you get Swedish citizenship. I did hear from Kevin that he now combines darts with working."
De Graaf recently secured a starting ticket for the PDC World Championship via the Nordic & Baltic Tour. "However, as long as you have a Tour Card (Doets currently has one) you are not allowed to compete on the Nordic & Baltic Tour. I myself hope to regain my Tour Card next year as well."
