In addition to the usual PDC awards that are normally handed out in January, the Weekly Dartscast has came up with 'Miscount of the Year' award as part of their yearly effort.
Followers of the podcast could vote for the 'Miscount of the Year' via a poll. As a player well known for miscounting, it shouldn't come as no surprise that De Sousa won the award.
It was during his Grand Slam semi-final victory over Simon Whitlock where in going for 126 he went for 136 (2x T20 and double eight) while his 158 to win the title was the Checkout of the Year.
