Defending champions Wales are marching on in the defence of their
World Cup of Darts crown after double singles success for
Gerwyn Price and
Jonny Clayton this afternoon.
Price started for Wales against Simon Whitlock and despite neither player being at their best, it was 'The Iceman' who won through 4-1 to give Wales the early lead.
It was a similar story in Clayton's match with Damon Heta but it was full of darting drama. The latter sent it all the way to a deciding leg, however 'The Ferret' produced when it mattered most with a 144 checkout to claim it for Clayton and Wales.
Next up will be a mouthwatering clash no matter who is in front of them as it will be either Netherlands or Scotland who face off next.
