Glen Durrant stunned Michael van Gerwen on Tuesday night to reach the World Matchplay Quarter-Finals on debut in a match billed as the battle of the World Champions.

Durrant spoke afterwards and called it a night that will live with him forever. He said he forgot in a lot of cases that he was playing Van Gerwen but that his emotions started when he realised he had a chance.
He added that he has to go now and relax and contemplate ahead of facing James Wade on Thursday night but that no matter what, this will live with him forever.
"This night will live with me forever, I've never experienced a crowd getting behind me like that," said Durrant.
"At times I forgot I was playing Michael van Gerwen, and when I realised I was in with a chance of winning the emotions were incredible.
"I went for a walk on the beach earlier today and I ended up getting sunburn, and that along with the incredible heat up there made it even harder for me.
"I now need to go away, relax and contemplate what I've done and look ahead to the rest of the tournament, but whatever happens from now on in my career this moment will never be taken away from me."
