Michael van Gerwen losing to Glen Durrant means that for the first time since 2005 there is no Dutchman in the World Matchplay Quarter-Finals.
Van Gerwen, De Zwaan and Noppert were the players who went out early doors in the competition with no Raymond van Barneveld involved of course.
In 2005, Colin Lloyd won the competition and was a first-time winner, could we get a new winner once again this year?
The odds are stacked in that favour with only James Wade left in the tournament who has previously won at the Winter Gardens.
