Durrant reflects after reaching third major semi-final with victory over Smith: 'It would be nice just to go one and hopefully two better this time'

Glen Durrant has reached a third major semi-final of 2019 to continue his remarkable rise after defeating Michael Smith in a 16-12 win at the Grand Slam of Darts to avenge his World Matchplay defeat.

Durrant was excellent all match especially on double 16; as soon as he got the impetus on 'Bully Boy', he continued to build and barring a late wobble of sorts; he successfully won through.

He is looking forward and wants to end his duck of not reaching a final; as well as even going two further to claim the title; he believes he is showing true fight that he hasn't had to show before now he is not a front runner.

“I’m just so happy to have made the semi-finals tonight but it would be nice just to go one and hopefully two better this time," said Durrant.

Durrant continued: “I’m having to show in the PDC that I can come from behind. I’m used to being a front runner so I’m showing a different side to my game now."
