Ritchie Edhouse was the outsider against Boris Koltsov despite having an excellent year and he thrilled the crowd on his PDC World Championship debut.

Edhouse ended up winning 3-1 and gave his thoughts afterwards on claiming victory and having his family there for the first time.
As well as regarding the Challenge Tour and how difficult it is to win one compared to the ProTour; including a choice he had to make which affected his season.
"I'm just buzzing, I never thought I was going to win. I've known about Boris (Koltsov) all year, to just get through is a bonus," said Edhouse to LiveDarts during the press conference after his win.
"I've got my family here, they've never seen me play darts other than local so it was good and I wanted to give them a show."
"To win a Challenge Tour event is massive. Sometimes it's harder to win than a ProTour because there are so many really good players. It done me good to get into the ProTour."
"I had a choice of trying to qualify for Gibraltar or going to the Challenge Tour to get first or second and I chose Gibraltar and I got through. I was so happy, I thought I was 99 percent in here."
"Sometimes it is a gamble because Challenge Tour and European Tour clash and it is hard to pick. It's sometimes too hard the decision."
