Damon Heta played brilliantly over in Brisbane when he won his maiden TV event and despite a downturn in form as of late, he brought 'The Heat' to the Alexandra Palace stage when defeating Jose de Sousa.
Heta was understandably pleased to see off the Portuguese ace who came in highly fancied before the tournament began and also detailed his future plans to move over to the UK and play on the PDC Tour.
"I'm stoked, ecstatic. It was absolutely magnificent, it's what I come to do and I did it," said Heta to LiveDarts during his post match press conference.
"I've been here three weeks. I've played in some little comps in and about to get a feel for the place and adjust. There is some quality in England, it's insane.
"I'm settled in for at least six months to a year, I dare say I'll be here a year and see how things go. I just want to do well. I am going to stay near Kyle (Anderson) and that way we can team up and hopefully we can do Australia proud."
