Gary Anderson demonstrated his top form once again on Tuesday. 'The Flying Scotsman' managed to throw a nine-dart finish in the second round of the 24th Players Championship tournament of the season.
The two-time world champion produced his perfect leg in his match against Jamie Hughes. Anderson fell behind 0-1 after the first leg, but then started the second leg with two 180 scores. A 141 finish in the third turn completed the nine-darter.
Anderson did not concede a leg in the remainder of the match either, and also notched a 10-darter in the fourth leg. With six legs won in a row, a 6-1 victory was on the scoreboard.
For the Scot, it was his seventh nine-darter with the PDC. He threw his previous nine-darter at a Players Championship tournament in September 2023. Anderson threw three of his seven nine darters at a televised tournament, including one at the 2016 World Darts Championship. That year he became world champion for the second and final time.
