Gary Anderson top of the pile on Players Championship Order of Merit, Van Duijvenbode drops from first to fourth after absence in Barnsley

Dirk van Duijvenbode did not compete in the four Players Championship tournaments in Barnsley last week and as a result lost his lead on the Players Championship Order of Merit.
Van Duijvenbode even dropped from first to fourth place. The ranking is now led by Gary Anderson, who managed to capture one of the four titles in Barnsley. After 28 of the 30 Players Championship tournaments, Anderson stands at 77,750 pounds, which is 10,500 pounds more than number two Gerwyn Price. Damon Heta is third with 66,500 pounds, followed by Dirk van Duijvenbode with 62,250 pounds.
On Saturday, this week's final Players Championship tournament was won by Ross Smith, who took his second title of the season. 'Smudger' moved up to eighth place in the rankings as a result.
In early November, the final two Players Championship tournaments of the season will be played. After these two-tournaments, the top-64 of the Players Championship Order of Merit will qualify for the Players Championship Finals.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
