Greaves solidifies lead on PDC Women's Series Order of Merit; Sherrock rises to third spot

Beau Greaves was already well in the lead of the PDC Women's Series Order of Merit and after last weekend's tournament weekend has only taken the first spot even more firmly in her hands.

The 19-year-old Englishwoman won three out of four tournaments in Hildesheim last weekend. As a result, she has won seven of the 12 tournaments played this year. This season, she already earned £16,300 at the PDC Women's Series.

That is almost twice as much as number two Mikuru Suzuki, who is in second place with 8800 pounds. Fallon Sherrock grabbed her first title of the season last weekend and moved up to third place with 6600 pounds.

Behind Sherrock are Robyn Byrne (£5,400) and Rhian O'Sullivan (£4,700), who were also successful once at the Women's Series earlier this year. Lisa Ashton is the highest-ranked player at spot six with 3150 pounds who has not yet won a Women's Series tournament this year. Dutch players Noa-Lynn van Leuven (3100 pounds) and Aileen de Graaf (2900 pounds) complete the top eight.

The ranking becomes important at the end of the year when the circuit's top prizes are handed out. The number one ranked player gets to compete at the Grand Slam of Darts in November.

The top two of the PDC Women's Series Order of Merit will receive an invitation to participate in the PDC World Darts Championship in December.
