Daryl Gurney gained some extra confidence heading into the World Grand Prix. The 37-year-old Northern Irishman was the best on Saturday night at a exhibition event in Northampton, England.
'Superchin' was present with four top players at this event, which was attended by many enthusiastic darts fans. Together with Ricky Evans, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, a mini-tournament was completed.
In the first semifinal, Price was 4-0 too strong for Evans. Next, Gurney won 4-0 over Clayton thanks to an average of over 107. Gurney then triumphed 4-3 against Price in the final.
